(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 16 - Delivery of hot meals, expanded drugs, transport of protective devices to local health authorities and hospitals, provision of ambulances and related crews, assistance for the weaker segments. These are some of the activities that the volunteers of the National Carabinieri Association have been carrying out all over the Italian regions for the coronavirus emergency every day and for days now. They are all volunteers, among whom many Carabinieri who are no longer in service and who, after having served the country for a lifetime, have dressed the uniform of the Association and continue to bear their oath in favor of the community.
These are more than a hundred men and women who work alongside other volunteers and the police forces from north to south to provide citizenship services.
In Lombardy, in particular, 4 ambulances were made available for the Brescia hospital, while other units were activated in the municipalities of Milan, Monza, Varese, Brescia and Bergamo.
