According to the researchers, Prof. Eran Segal and Prof. Benjamin Geiger of the Weizmann Institute of Science and Prof. Yuval Dor of the Hebrew University, the spread of the virus occurs in clusters of infection and therefore early identification of clusters can slow the spread of the virus. In order to identify the clusters, a questionnaire designed to assess the development of symptoms caused by the virus was developed, in collaboration with doctors in the Ministry of Health. According to the researchers, they want to harness the citizens of Israel, and ask every citizen to complete, or fill out the questionnaire once a day.
The questionnaire can be completed at: http://predict-corona.org
According to the researchers, such information can help the Ministry of Health identify the spreads and patients faster, enable an up-to-date snapshot of the number of people who developed symptoms, predict the next spreads a few days before they break out, assess the effectiveness of various social remedies that are taken down The symptoms. They also point out that with the help of this tool, the Ministry of Health will be able to decide in which areas to get worse and in which areas to facilitate measures of social remoteness.
The three researchers note that this questionnaire does not diagnose virus infection. Also, the questionnaire is anonymous and all data will be used solely for the purpose of monitoring the spread of the virus.
