On the occasion of Father's Day on March 19th, ProntoPro.it, the portal for the supply and demand of professional services, tried to estimate the potential salary of the Dads, if they were paid for the work they do every day .
From the role of chef to that of animator, passing through a private driver and gardener, a dad should earn 2,800 euros per month. The average salary was calculated taking into account all the activities carried out, and the relative hourly wages recognized to those who practice the same jobs as a professional worker, drawing on a database of 600,000 professionals, divided into 500 categories of services. On what services can a Dad's value be calculated? In support of the family menage, more and more dads take care of entertaining their children, and sometimes even their friends, especially on the weekend, in this role of animators , fathers should receive an hourly fee of 50 euros. Even managing meals is often a shared task between mom and dad, as a private chef the dad could receive up to 55 euros per guest. There is no lack of homework help , a tutoring service that usually requires an investment of 20 euros per hour, or psychological advice on how to manage the small and large problems that children can encounter at school or in the adolescent phase, a professionalism that could cost up to 55 euros per hour.
One of the roles most often attributed to the father is that of the private driver or who accompanies the children on the school-home journey, but also to all those recreational or sporting events that involve children from a very young age: a convenient service that, if it were remunerated , would provide for a fee of around 18 euros per hour. Not to mention the moment when the dads will begin to make their car available to their adult children, for a car rental service that can cost up to 50 euros per day. Then there is a category of tasks related to the management of the house, here the dads improvise themselves as handymen: they fix appliances, intervene on a leak in the kitchen tap, repair lights and chandeliers; a role comparable to those professions that most work on emergencies (from the plumber to the electrician), for an average cost of 30 euros, calculating half an hour of service. Fathers are also often asked to change the look of their home, as in the case of whitewashing the walls, whose expenditure on a surface of 90 square meters is around 800 euros, or the assembly of IKEA furniture for a price starting from 100 EUR. Among the seasonal services we must not forget the care of the garden, grass shearing can cost 10 euros per hour. By calculating the monthly commitment for each service, it is possible to estimate a salary for Dads equal to 2800 euros per month .
