Concretely, a person whose rights to unemployment benefit expired in March will benefit from an additional month so that he does not experience " drama ", said the minister. In this sense, the persons concerned will receive the same amounts of compensation. Indeed, the current confinement period, due to the coronavirus epidemic, does not allow them to have prospects to quickly find employment. “ The extension will be done automatically by Pôle emploi and will be effective for payments made from the beginning of April. However, like every month, job seekers will have to update themselves, ”said Pôle emploi on Thursday.
