Agreement between Intesa Sanpaolo Group and trade unions to recognize, in the extraordinary phase due to the coronavirus emergency, six additional days of vacation to staff who continue to work in branches and those who do not work in smart working. The trade unions of the Group make this known, thanking, in a note, 'all the colleagues who are courageously and firmly facing this unprecedented emergency and in particular those who work in the front line in contact with customers or in the most contexts at risk'.
'' After the insistence of the union, which has long been asking for protection for workers' safety - the note continues - the banks have accepted both the use of smart working and a clear closure of agencies. It is worth mentioning - unions note - that to be able to close all the agencies, only government intervention would be needed since banks are considered by law 146/90 to be essential public services'.
In this context, the press release continues, 'Intesa Sanpaolo has in any case decided to recognize six days of additional holidays compared to the provisions of the Law and the CCNL. The days will be usable from the end of the coronavirus emergency and until 30 November 2020 with the possibility of monetizing a part of them (approximately three days). The six days of additional holidays are aimed at colleagues who work in the branch to ensure services to the public and colleagues who carry out activities that do not allow the use of smart working. '
'We appreciate the choice of the CEO of the Carlo Messina Group to have granted the additional holidays and his declarations - underline the unions - which confirm what we have always supported: all the colleagues of the Group are demonstrating in this phase of extraordinary complexity a great deal sense of responsibility'.
The trade unions of the Intesa Sanpaolo group, the note concludes, 'will continue in their claims for the protection of women workers, also thanks to the support of the national secretariats who continue to confront Abi and the highest authorities in the country to assert the voice of the banks, so that they are fully protected.
