The academic institutions taking part in the initiative are Tel Aviv University, the Technion, the Hebrew University, Bar-Ilan University, Ariel University, and Shiba Hospitals, Assaf Harofe, Hadassah, Soroka, Wolfson, Ichilov and several of the sick funds.

Also, initiated by volunteer doctors from Sheba, Hadassah and Asaf the physician, and with the co-chairs of the Medical Student Association at the five university centers, a volunteer pool of more than a thousand medical students from all the country's medical schools was established to assist MDA in collecting corona samples from the population.

In addition, a pool of about 600 doctoral students and laboratory workers was set up to harness the manpower system in the Corona test laboratories. The database was formed by a joint initiative of Tel Aviv University, Weizmann Institute, and many other academic centers.

Meanwhile, five students were instructed this week at the Tel Hashomer Central Laboratory, led by Prof. Ohad Gal-Moore of the Tel Aviv University School of Medicine, who serves as the head of the Sheba Infectious Disease Research Laboratory. Three more students, who began volunteering at a unified health fund, are expected to guide additional groups of students later.

Prof. Carmit Levy of the Department of Molecular Genetics of Human and Biochemistry at the Tel Aviv University Faculty of Medicine: "Inspiring to see the students, all institutions of higher education in Israel are bravely and determined to establish new laboratories and assist existing laboratories in the effort against the Corona."
