The Israeli Embassy in India succeeded in rescuing a group of 60 Israeli travelers who were stranded in the Kasul region on Friday evening, just before the curfew announced by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Travelers will be taken by bus to Delhi capital on two buses - the first tonight and the second tomorrow morning. The rescue is compatible with the country's authorities.

Kasul, in northern India, is considered to be a well-traveled area in the country. Earlier this week, some 1,000 Israeli travelers from Peru were rescued and brought to Israel after the government in the South American state announced its closure. Four El Al planes took off to Lima, the capital of Peru, yesterday, with the aim of bringing back about a thousand Israeli travelers who remained in the country, which has entered full closure. Following the publication in "Israel Today" this week about the plight of Israelis, Foreign Minister Israel Katz and El Al intervened and decided to send planes and return travelers free to Israel.

Israir also organizes a rescue flight for Israelis stranded in the city of Odessa, Ukraine. However - 23 travelers were unable to reach the flight and at this stage it is unclear whether they will be rescued. In the meantime, in light of requests from hundreds of Israelis staying in India and wishing to return to Israel, El Al decided to divert a flight intended to carry cargo tomorrow evening for travelers from Israel to Israel.
