(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MARCH 21 - Almost a billion people, to be exact more than 900 million, are confined to home in 35 countries around the world in the hope of being able to stop the coronavirus pandemic that has already caused 11,400 victims and placed in crisil world economy. This was revealed by an analysis of the AFP. Most - around 600 million people in 22 countries - are subject to mandatory confinement, as in France or Italy. Other curfews (like in Bolivia), quarantine (like in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan) or invitations not to leave their homes (like in Iran).
