The Radiologists Association urged the Health Ministry Director General to request the allocation of protective equipment, having not yet received this equipment - although it is directly exposed to virus carriers. Of the approximately 500 radiologists, 27 are isolated in Shaare Zedek Hospital and 17 are isolated elsewhere. One of the radiologists at Gates of Justice even was diagnosed with a patient.

In a letter to the union, Prof. Kobi Susana and Prof. Ilan Shelf write: "Radiologic teams that include specialist and specialized radiologists as well as X-ray technicians are in close contact with patients or suspects with covid-19. The exposure is when taking photographs, CT, MRI, US, "We are contacting you because of repeated inquiries from staff members who do not receive the required protection under the Ministry of Health's instructions. We have already known quite a few cases where X-ray technicians and radiologists have been disabled for exposure while working."
"These are the soldiers at the front and must do what is necessary to protect them and maintain the competence of staff and morale that will avoid instances of life-threatening tests. We appeal to you to instruct the professionals to provide protective equipment as required for the imaging teams."
