Robert Ormsby, 58, from Kent, UK has long planned his trip to Iceland with his life-long girlfriend Patsy Murdoch, 58, mainly because he planned to offer her on this dream wedding.
Plans changed as the Corona virus began to spread in the world, prompting Robert to cancel the trip. Despite the cancellation, Robert decided not to give up and still offered Patsy a marriage proposal. Instead of flying to the dreamy island, he took her to the Writers Market branch of the Iceland Writers Network, searched for a quiet, empty place in the writer and offered her a marriage.
"We were on our way to dinner and Robert told me we should go through the local writer. I knew there was something unusual because Robert was wearing his best suit, but I didn't suspect it would be a marriage proposal," Patsy told The Independent.
The couple's photo went viral on social networks, and the couple also allowed the writers' PR team to spread the picture to make more people happy. "It's very nice at this time to be happy with this simple gesture. We all need a little distraction at such times," Patsy concluded. After being applauded by the writer and praising the staff, the couple went on to the pre-planned dinner. All we can do is join the warm greetings and wish the couple happiness and wealth up to 120.
