It was this that pushed the rapper Lowlow (at the registry office Giulio Elia Sabatello, Roman, born in 1993) to go ahead with his new recording project from the title Dogma 93 (for Sony Music) and not to step back in front of the coronavirus emergency.
"It is certainly very complicated - he tells the phone from his home in Milan -, but I never really thought about postponing the release of the album, because it is too important a moment for me and for my career and then because in this moment there is a need something beautiful. "I started from an analysis of myself that turned into a message for those who go through a difficult period. Maybe it is in times of difficulty that my music can reach people, tell them that they are not alone to offer", explains Lowlow who with the his new album wants to open "a crack in the listener's curiosity".
Dogma 93 is a "cinematic" disc (starting from the title that explicitly mentions Lars von Trier and his Dogma 95) made up of stories that run between the 14 pieces present. He arrives two years after Il Bambino Soldato and marks a further piece in the maturity process of the writing of the rapper. "Like the Danish directors who aimed to have their stylistic code, my Dogma is a sort of manifesto that corresponds to an internal research rather than a refusal of what surrounds me.
