Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg & Co .: Here there are additional public holidays in 2020
As can be seen in the table above, many traditional public holidays fall on weekends this year. Fortunately, the individual federal states will have public holidays in 2020 when employees can stay at home. The companies in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Saxony-Anhalt are closed to the Three Wise Men (Monday, January 6th, 2020) . Employees in these federal states can therefore look forward to an extended weekend.

In contrast, employees in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland should note June 11, 2020 . This Thursday, Corpus Christi is celebrated in the six federal states. So if you submit an early vacation for the following Friday, you can also enjoy a long weekend.
