(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 02 - In the days of the Coronavirus emergency even the newsstands on the front line: less than 13% closed, mainly those that had to do so in compliance with the DPCM of 11 March 2020. Indeed, since the last few days of March a turnaround: some hermitages begin to reopen.
Newsagents continue to be there and to distribute information. The safety distance of one meter from the customer is ensured for those who work inside a kiosk, if the newsstand is in a shop you enter one at a time as in the super market.
National and local distributors also respond, who continue to ensure continuity of service to publishers and newsstands and to guarantee the supply of newspapers and periodicals.
In this context, m-dis Distribuzione Media SpA, the national distributor owned by RCS, De Agostini and Hearst and which distributes, among others, Sole 24ore, Il Fatto Quotidiano, Cairo Editore, Panini, Euro Publishing, has distributed over 3,000 pairs of gloves and other useful materials in Milan, another 400 in Florence, and has launched a series of initiatives to give visibility to the work of newsstands to readers.
On the website www.primaedicola.it/edicoleaperte you can find the newsstands open near your home and those that carry out the home delivery service of the products of interest, adjuvants and masks in compliance with the safety provisions of the decree. Over 2,000 newsagents have already joined and many are doing so in these hours.
The operation of the supply chain to ensure the e-commerce collection point service continues, one of the initiatives initiated by m-dis to bring newsstands to the center of our cities and countries. (ANSA).
