(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 03 - Edison Energia has launched the "Edison for Italy" plan, to meet the difficulties of the customers most affected by the health emergency and by blocking activities across the country.
The company has announced the suspension of payments of bills throughout the country for its customers in difficulty.
"In addition to what has already been decided by the competent authorities, we have decided, throughout the country, to postpone the bills of our customers in economic difficulty in June, such as VAT numbers, small businesses or workers in lay-off. the initiative is also aimed at all the gliover 65 who use the postal order, to help them stay at home and avoid the possibility of contagion. To this end, we have also strengthened and expanded the e-payment tools to facilitate all our customers anyway ", declared the administrator Edison Energia delegate Massimo Quaglini.
"In this serious crisis, - reads a statement - Edison has decided to support with a donation of 1.5 million euros the construction of the new hospital of Fiera Milano, recently inaugurated. In addition, the company has started an internal fundraiser to which each employee can contribute by donating a part of his salary. The initiative was launched with the voluntary cut of the remuneration of the executive committee and subsequently extended to all staff. At the end of the accession period, set for April 10, Edison is committed to increasing the amount collected with a contribution at least equivalent and to be used for other initiatives on the national inter-territory ".
