The day to day without leaving the house of dozens of people, told in photographs

YoMeQuedoEnCasaFotgraphers organizes talks, workshops and a call on Instagram in which anyone can participate.

For María Andrés, the coronavirus crisis has meant the temporary closure of what was the dream of her life: her own photography studio. After ten years working in different companies, this January he finally opened his business in Alacuás (Valencia), but only three months later he had to go home to telework and do accounts to see how he pays the fixed expenses of the study. The owner of Natural Photography continues to immortalize moments from the only possible scenario now, her home. The photographers who choose the best photos from the daily call of the YoMeQuedoEnCasaFotographers Instagram account every day decided that one of Andrés's was the winner of this Monday. Like this there are other initiatives that promote portraying confinement, such as # PHEdesdemibalcón, the online contest that PHotoESPAÑA has launched this year to search for and expose the best photos taken from home.

In Andrés's winning image, a mask appears in the foreground and, in the background, a woman taking a shower. "I wanted to show the new routines, I think that with this image we can identify many: end the day and feel the release of the water, leaving the mask aside and trying to wash the thoughts," the author explains to Verne . The photographic call in which he has participated is called El tarro de la memoria and is one of the activities being organized by a group of studio photographers, mostly of infantile and newborn portraits, with Pepa Valero and Franu Rey at the head .

"Theoretical is important, but also to bear witness to what we are experiencing, so we ask any fan to portray their confinement," Valero explains to Verne by phone. Among the 150 photographs that are published on average every day for the call, in which there is no type of award, children and balconies are two of the most repeated sources of inspiration. It is not necessary that the images are made with a camera, the quality of the mobile is more than enough, it is enough to publish them on Instagram and include three hashtags: #yomequedoencasafotografos #eltarrodelamemoria # etm0402 (this corresponds to April 2, but it is changing). The image of a girl with a spoon raised while she seems to be fighting against her plate of food, another of a boy playing at dusk and that of a building at night with all the houses lit are three of the winners in recent weeks.

Although the photo contest is what has most transpired on networks, YoMeQuedoEnCasaFotgraphers was born during the first days of the state of alarm to be a kind of online photography congress open to both professionals and amateurs. Valero tells Verne by phone that his first intention was to gather photographers to give talks and share tips and tutorials with followers. Although their main dissemination tool is Instagram, the workshops are followed through the channels that teachers prefer (YouTube, Facebook ...) and then all the videos are collected on a website. The themes of the live shows do not focus on technical aspects of the cameras, there are SEO classes for photographers, how to get inspired by your family for a creative project, motivation for daily work or what are the best tricks for taking wedding photos.

Valero explains that sometimes the winning image coincides with the photographs that they like the most on Instagram, but other times they do not, it depends a lot on what they transmit, on the colors, or on whether they make the public feel identified with the image. At Verne we have taken a look at the ones that have been published and these are some of our favorites:
