(ANSA) - TRIESTE, APRIL 10 - Snam supports the health system of Friuli-Venezia Giulia in the fight against the Covid-19 emergency.
The company, a global leader in energy infrastructures, has made efforts, informs a note, to find and make medical and health material available for the territory through its relations in China and India.
In particular, Snam has already made 200 thousand N95 masks available to Friuli-Venezia Giulia, purchased for the region and arrived in Italy on a flight from Beijing in recent days, and has donated another 40 thousand through the structure of the Extraordinary Commissioner, with whom the company work closely together also by virtue of a letter of intent.
Through this collaboration, Snam will also donate part of the lung ventilators as necessary.
These initiatives, recalls the note, are part of a total donation of 20 million euros decided by Snam in favor of the Italian healthcare system and the non-profit sector, aimed at supporting medical and healthcare personnel and hospital facilities and initiating initiatives to protect the most vulnerable population.
This is, commented the president of Friuli Venezia Giulia Massimiliano Fedriga, "an excellent signal when the economic and business world responds to the call to help our regional community, contributing to the finding of devices for medical and healthcare personnel and for hospital facilities: I really appreciate Snam's gesture and I thank the companies that I hope will feel stimulated to follow this lively testimony of love for the territory ".
