Imagine that one day you can escape everything. Take time off from work, family, commitments, life - and just run away without giving anyone explanations. "Escape" recently emerged as a comedy from HBO starring Merritt Webber ("Sister Jackie") and Domenhall Gleason ("Star Wars").

She embodies Robbie Richardson, a married woman with children who lives a comfortable and boring routine. Gleason embodies a personal empowerment guru who gives lectures to an audience. When they were in college about 17 years ago, they formed an alliance where one would like to escape, sending two text messages with the word RUN if the other party replies - RUN they meet at the train station and travel across the US. B. The series is produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who won my mother and the Golden Globe for "Flybag."

"Escape" opens with a high tempo and adrenaline rushing out of the screen, keeping it going throughout. This happens a lot thanks to Webber's excellent acting that plays a very diverse and colorful role. She conveys the tension, excitement and anticipation of what's going to happen, and undergoes many changes throughout the episodes. Gleason, who is an excellent partner in this duet, also brings a lot of himself and gives the series volume and interest. The combination of the two in a twisty script and taking them to very unexpected places gives a very intriguing viewing experience - you will want the next chapter to see where it goes.

"Escape" skips between the present and the past to reveal more about their characters and backgrounds, and examines the changes the characters have made over the years (external and internal) through the eyes of their partners. She also asks quite a few questions, for example if the person we knew so well once is the same person we meet today. Think about it at your next class meeting.

"Escape" is well written and will catch you from the start. They wanted to see her, they wanted to.
