Coronavirus: 8 proposals for phase 2 from the catering network

ROME - The restaurant network, which sees growing adhesions in the food and wine business sector with 26 realities and more than 34,000 associates including cooks, restaurateurs, pizza makers, bakers, pastry chefs, chocolatiers, ice cream makers, room managers, launches an Sos to government and institutions and today presents eight proposals for the restart in the so-called Phase 2, post-emergency Covid.

The Government is asked to immediately adopt the following eight essential measures for the survival of many representatives operating in the sector:

1.Cancellation of the relevant national and local taxes (indicative and non-exhaustive Tari, IMU, billposting, occupation of public land, etc.), credit for utilities related to commercial activities; payment by installments of Ires, Irap payments expected in June and without interest.

2. Extension of the extraordinary redundancy fund for staff in force on 23.02.2020 and until 31.12.2020.

3.Suspension of leasing, mortgages and rental operating until 31.12.2020, recovery of the frozen monthly payments at the end of the period envisaged by the relative measure put in place.

4. Harmonization by the State of the rules for access to credit.

5. 60% tax credit recognized to the owner until 31.12.2020 with 40% of the amount charged to the lessee and simplified measure (dry coupon).

6.Detaxation (overtime) on the human resources in the workforce, taxation of social security contributions and benefits until 30 June 2021.

7.Possibility extended to the entire catering sector to take away.

8. Non-refundable support measures, refreshments and indemnities, for the mandatory closure period imposed by law by the covid-19 emergency (equal to 10% of turnover in relation to the same reference period).
