Two maxi tents have been erected in an empty soccer field in the city of northern Nigeria and the workers are assembling beds and equipment for the facility that will be assigned to house patients in isolation.
At the end of February, a group of 50 businessmen led by the Dangote Foundation and the Nigeria Access Bank set up a 53 million euro fund to deal with the health emergency caused by the pandemic. The private sector is building seven centers for patients in isolation in the main Nigerian cities and aims to enhance the country's ability to perform tampons. So far only 5,000 have been carried out.
