The Ministerial Committee for the Definition of a Limited Area has decided to determine the municipal area of Deir al-Assad and Ben'a as a restricted area within the meaning of the regulations, for a period of 7 days. The announcement will take effect tomorrow (April 18, 2020) at 8 p.m. This was followed by concern over the outbreak of the Corona virus.
Meanwhile, there were 12,982 Corona patients in Israel today, and there was another decline in the number of people who were registered. Of 168 severely ill patients, 122 are connected to respirators. This is a decrease of 11 percent.
This week, a very high level of morbidity was detected in the virus in the Deir al-Assad locality and other communities in the north that, prior to the Passover holiday, did not even appear in the list of "problematic" communities according to the Ministry of Health.
On Wednesday, 23 verified corona patients were registered in Deir al-Assad, four patients in Nahaf, three in Nablus and one in Majd al-Chrome. This is a worrying change in the face of previous data collected in the area that could indicate an outbreak of the epidemic in the localities.
