Los Angeles, USA - What Exactly Happened? Counter-Strike Global Offensive player Oscar "Mixwell" Cañellas, a sniper professional, wanted to try out the fresh open beta from Valorant *. He started the game and played a round of the new tactical shooter from Riot Games *. When he wants to charge his cell phone on the PC, he is suddenly kicked out of the game and is unable to start Valorant. The Vanguard anti-cheat program is to blame.
What did Mixwell do? The suspicious behavior that led to the kick and ultimately the ban from the game was actually harmless. All he did was connect his smartphone to the PC to charge it. Vanguard, the anti-cheat software from Valorant, immediately raised the alarm and the 24-year-old streamer received a supposed ban from Valorant.
