The popular salami pizza snails "Dermaris Pizza Snails  Salami 270 g" are affected, according to the company, more precisely the batch with batch number 3022004 and the best-before date 07.05.2020.

The popular frozen pizza product is sold at supermarkets such as Edeka and Rewe .

But what is the reason for the recall of the product? The company wrote in an official statement

“It cannot be ruled out that there are small, white plastic particles in the product. As a precaution, the above-mentioned article with the above-mentioned best before date should therefore no longer be consumed. " 

People who have purchased the product should therefore return it immediately to the respective point of sale , where the full purchase price can be refunded.

Recall of popular pizza snails - It concerns a best before date 

What exactly did the  "little white plastic parts" are or how they in the product landing could , will not be discussed or explained. It is therefore not clear whether eating the affected pizza snails could have consequences or whether the plastic is toxic. The manufacturer, which is also certified organic , did the right thing and called the product back immediately, as the consumer portal produktwarnung.eu reports.

The consumption of the affected article is also strongly discouraged. This was announced by the company, which produces a wide variety of baking and deep-snacks. Other best-before dates and other items are according to the Dermaris GmbH , however, not affected.

A certain dog food had been recalled from Edeka, Marktkauf and Netto because it was contaminated with Salmonella.
