The singer of the Rolling Stones has owned a castle in the region since 1982 and comes there every year.

A global song icon chose France to confine itself during the Covid-19 pandemic. Mick Jagger, singer and founder of the rock group The Rolling Stones has been in his castle in Touraine for several weeks, reports the New Republic.

He is precisely in Pocé-sur-Cisse (Indre-et-Loire), near Amboise, in a house he acquired in 1982. He took photos there, which he recently posted on his account. Facebook, especially this one where he wishes happy Easter, a major holiday for Christians, to those who follow his account.

Rehearsing in isolation! Have a great weekend and happy Easter.

It is from this place, Mick Jagger took part in an international event. He sang with the other members of his group during the concert "One World Together at Home" organized last weekend. 79 artists took part from their place of confinement such as Lady Gaga, Elton John or Céline Dion.

"He does not go out, has meals delivered to him," said a source interviewed by the regional newspaper. Each year the 76-year-old singer comes to celebrate his birthday on July 26. He knows the region because he used to come there as a child with his parents.

Mick Jagger is not the only artist with worldwide renown who chose France to experience the period of confinement. The actor of the saga "Pirates of the Caribbean", Johnny Depp, has thus decided to stay at Plan-de-la-Tour, in the Var, where he owns a domain acquired with the French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis, of the time where they lived together. The place has been on sale for several years but has not found any takers.
