(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 23 - The GDP of the Eurozone risks avoiding a 15% contraction and European leaders have done too little and acted too late. This is the warning that the President of the ECB, Christine Lagarde, would have launched - according to Bloomberg according to two sources - during a videoconference meeting of the leaders of the European Union in which they are discussing how to mitigate the economic fallout of the global pandemic.
The recovery measures must be swift, resolute and flexible, Lagarde said according to EU sources. Lagarde also warned against the risk that not all countries will be able to act in the necessary way.
