(ANSA) - PERUGIA, MAY 03 - "It would be inappropriate to run ahead, because the common good, which is the good of all, invites us to walk together with all the sister Churches of Italy, who live the pandemic in different conditions": said the president of the CEI, cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti, celebrating mass in the cathedral of Perugia, of which he is archbishop.
The cardinal gave "some news" for 'phase 2'.
"Unfortunately - said Bassetti - the statistics tell us that we have not yet come out of this strong moment of crisis.
The Holy Father also recommends caution to us. The modalities of the celebrations allowed in church, for baptisms and weddings, apply the rules already established during 'phase 1'; as regards the rite of the funeral, from Monday 4 May, the presence of 15 faithful is allowed, without these having to be subjected to measuring body temperature.
For Sunday Mass we will still have to wait about a couple of weeks for further information ".
