Coronavirus in Argentina: 7 deaths were registered and 165 other infections were confirmed in the last 24 hours

Another 7 people died in the last hours from the coronavirus, while 165 new cases were detected. Thus, the total of those killed by the pandemic amounted to 300 and that of those infected to 5,766.

Those are the numbers from the 112th report of the Ministry of Health, which was released shortly after President Alberto Fernández announced that the quarantine against Covid-19 will last until May 24.

In this regard, the Head of State clarified that the restrictions will begin to be lifted except in the Federal Capital and in the province of Buenos Aires, where the rate of infection is still high.

The President stressed that in the analysis of the country as a whole, coronavirus infections double every 25.1 days, but warned that the AMBA region is still far from that goal because it concentrates 86.2 percent of total cases and It is where the quantities are doubled every 18.8 days.

Meanwhile, on Friday there was the record for new infections. In total, 240 cases were confirmed, of which 130 occurred in the Federal Capital and 77 in Buenos Aires.
