Thousands of medical staff protested tonight (Saturday night) at the Habima Square in Tel Aviv demanding to shorten the 26-hour internships. The protesters are calling "no return and no return for 26 hours." Also in Haifa, some 300 doctors and medical staff near the Rambam Hospital in the city demonstrated.

Presiding organization chairman Dr. Ray Beaton said in a rally: "I call on Prime Minister and Benny Gantz we are eye-popping and seven promises. Please ask that we end the conditions of slavery in which we are employed and allow us to be better doctors and doctors for the benefit of our patients." Dr. Biton called on Netanyahu and Gantz to meet again this week. "We will present you with a pilot program that was written ten years ago and requires only an additional 50 standards. Toddler price per system promised 1,000 standards. "

She also mentioned that past promises to cut ranks were not fulfilled: "The Hellenic Histadrut never launched a strike on non-compliance. Health ministers and mentors have changed, and we are still doing 26-hour missions. Interns have sacrificed their physical and mental health and even their lives as if it were a decree. Then, with the outbreak of the epidemic and out of a sense of mission, we were all set to challenge while jeopardizing our health and wonder and miraculously shortened the 12-hour waiting period, and everything worked out well, in a survey conducted by a 500-person and internship survey, 87% said they gave better care to patients of 12 Hours, ”Dr. Beaton said.

The Corona crisis and shortening of interns' work hours have shown many health care workers the difficulty of continuing the long shift conditions in which interns need to work for 26 consecutive hours. The reason for the long shifts is a lack of standards for hospital interns.
