(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MAY 10 - StephenKing's 2014 novel "Revival" will become a film for Warner Bros. Variety reports it. The script of the new project was entrusted to Mike Flanagan with an option to take care of the direction. Trevor Macy, who had worked with Flanagan on the film adaptation of "Doctor Sleep" by King himself, will produce the film. "Revival" is set in the Northeast American region starting in the 1960s. Charles Jacobs arrives, together with his wife and son, in a town in New England as a new pastor.
Young and passionate, the Reverend conquers the parishioners, and in particular the little Jamie, to whom he teaches the wonders of electricity. But when a tragedy takes his family away, Jacobs' faith falters and he is turned away from the city. Thirty years later, Jamie will meet him again, along with all his nightmares.
"Doctor Sleep" had been a disappointment at the box office with 72 million global takings. Flanagan and Macy had collaborated in 2017 in the adaptation of King's "Gerald's Game" for the Netflix streaming platform. (HANDLE).
