"The Last Kingdom" producer reveals why Uhtred's son cannot be seen
As part of a Q&A event for "The Last Kingdom" , RadioTimes magazine followed up and asked producer Nigel Marchant about the missing son. The latter promptly provided a relatively detailed explanation: Uhtred's son would simply have been one person too many to have included the story. The screenwriters had "only" ten episodes to use to tell the stories of all the other characters.
At the same time, Marchant gives viewers hope that Uhtred's third child could appear in a possible fifth season *: "All of this does not mean that we will not see them in the future. "
The fans already have a theory of how the missing figure could be explained: he might have found accommodation during the fourth season of events with Hild (Eva Birthistle) , a confidant of Uhtred.
