(ANSA) - PALERMO, MAY 11 - An ultrasound, of latest generation, with software for the study of the lungs to be used in the diagnosis phase of Covid-19 has been donated to the Giglio Foundation of Cefalù by the company 'Esaote'. "I would like to thank the director of Esaote Franco Fontana for his sensitivity and support for our institution in a particular time for Italian health care," says the president of the Giglio Foundation, Giovanni Albano. The delivery of the ultrasound in the morning, in addition to the president Albano, by Peter Mostacci di Esaote, the head of the Giglio Foundation's technical engineering, Giuseppe Fatuzzo, and the person responsible for the information systems of the Daniele Salvaggio hospital. It is an ultrasound system that allows a multidisciplinary use being equipped with three probes, one for lacardiology and two for internal use. In addition, it has been configured for investigations on Covid-19 patients as it is equipped with a software for the ultrasound study of the lung that allows the rapid visualization of any interstitial bilateral pneumonia.
