In England professional sport, and therefore also the Premier League, will be able to start behind closed doors but only after June 1st. This is what the government chaired by Boris Johnson has decided, presenting the details of phase two of the management for the emergency from coronavirus.
The British government, as reported by the BBC, has drawn up a 50-page document to define the road map of the relaxation of the current lockdwond. A second step of this phase two foresees that only after June 1st "sports and cultural events to be held behind closed doors for broadcasting are allowed, with the prohibition of large-scale social contacts". The document does not provide time for a return to matches with the public, on the contrary, it provides that the stadium doors can only be opened "much later, following the line of contagions".
