Zoe Williams began to feel very tired and had difficulty walking, so she received treatment for Guillain-Barré syndrome, but it was a misdiagnosis.

Zoe Williams had planned a family vacation in San Francisco, but one day after arriving in the United States, she began to feel very tired and finally lost her life the night she was preparing to return home.

According to the Daily Mirror site , Williams had a blood clot that had been getting worse since he left the UK, but he attributed his tiredness to the length of the flight and jet lag.

When she went to the doctor in San Francisco, doctors incorrectly linked her symptoms to Guillain-Barré syndrome, which Zoe had had 20 years ago.

“We arrived at our hotel around tea time and she was fine. We were very excited to make plans for the next day and watch the San Francisco 49ers soccer game, ”Jason Williams, the widower, told Wales Online .

The woman claimed that she was very tired and it was difficult for her to walk, so she asked her husband and son to go to the party, so she returned to the hotel to rest.

On the third day of her vacation, Zoe visited a doctor who offered her treatment for Guillain-Barré syndrome, since it is a disease that the woman had previously suffered from and presented similar symptoms, such as weakness, tingling and confusion, since the immune system attacks the nerves in the body.

Although his condition worsened over time, Williams tried to have a good time with his family on vacation and had to use a wheelchair to get around. He did not want to be admitted to the hospital in San Francisco, as he preferred to continue his treatment in Wales once he returned home.

On November 2, the family set out to travel to the United Kingdom. Zoe entered the airport in a wheelchair and, once on the plane, lost consciousness, so the local medical team recommended that they not travel.

"His health deteriorated that night. He said he was having trouble breathing and I called an ambulance, but he died in my arms before they arrived, "said the widower.

Both the father and his son will return home once Zoe's body is released, and despite their enormous sadness, they are very grateful for the facilities provided during this terrible time.
