Btp Italia collects 4.02 billion on the first day of placement

(ANSA) - MILAN, MAY 18 - A strong start for the Btp Italia which will serve to gather resources for the emergency response Covid-19. On the first day of the placement, dedicated to retail investors, the five-year inflation-linked security and with a minimum coupon of 1.4%, at the close of the negotiations, collected orders for 4.018 billion euros. The debut was higher than that of the last issue, dated October 2019, when the BTP Italy collected less than 3 billion on the first day and 6.7 billion at the closing of the placement. (HANDLE).
