The first gyms in NRW have reopened - these requirements apply

The regulations of the corona measures are a national matter. Businessinsider.de names the most important requirements, which according to the portal now apply in fitness studios in North Rhine-Westphalia and which, according to the report, are "probably something similar" implemented in most federal states - here is an excerpt: "The yardstick is that per 7 square meters of space in Gym cannot be admitted more than one customer . There cannot be more customers in the studio than places in the classrooms and equipment can be used according to these rules , "writes the portal.

Fitness equipment  should be arranged in such a way that "the distance between two sports equipment occupied by customers at the same time is at least three meters" (this means the guaranteed minimum distance of 1.5 meters plus exercise space and training equipment). Ideally, only every second device should be used. Access to the courses should be regulated so that there is a minimum distance of two meters in all directions for each customer.

Shaking hands as a greeting should be avoided. After customers have given their consent, studios will also be able to document customer contact information, when they entered and left the gym, and who attended certain courses to keep track of who had contact with whom.

According to the government statement, guests who are not prepared to comply with the following rules are to be denied access within the framework of the house right. In the gym: 1.5 meters between mats, devices and studio users

A number of fitness companies, represented by the German Industrial Association for Fitness and Health eV (DIFG),  presented a concept for reopening last week that was written by scientists from the Technical University of Munich and the IST University of Düsseldorf.

According to businessinsider.de, the most obvious recommendation of the scientists is: Clean and disinfect more often and set up more disinfectant dispensers everywhere. First of all, however, the operators would have to ensure that devices, equipment and facilities are converted so that a distance of at least 1.5 meters is ensured. The scientists also recommended no more than one person per ten square meters of studio space, the report said. This also applies to courses: Here, one participant is recommended for every eight square meters in the course room. The exercise mats should also be at least 1.5 meters apart.
