Green light from June 2, but now the desire for normality, to meet again and to reconquer the spaces is stronger than anything and the Parisians have already sat down today at the tables of the bistros and cafes. For the first time since March, the capital seems to have returned to its former one: sun, gardens and parks reopened, people lying in the sun on the lawns, others sitting at the table, even if only with the Spritz or a sandwich.
In order not to feel the nostalgia of old habits, on the Parisian reopening Saturday the protest demonstration with the eviction of the police could not be missing: thousands have joined the appeal of the collective "The March of Solidarity" protesting for the conditions of the sans-papiers and defying the prohibition of the prefecture, at place de la Republique. The police had to intervene rather vigorously to disperse the procession, whose participants wore, for the most part, the mask on their face.
To beat all the other neighborhoods quickly on the anticipation of the reopening of the restaurants, it was Montmartre, which unlined tables on the pavement even yesterday evening. Today others have sprung up like mushrooms, 3 days after the official and authorized recovery, at the Butte aux Cailles, in the 13th arrondissement. The environment is more than festive everywhere, in some cases euphoric. Police cars pass, slow down, and then leave without intervening.
