(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 06 - Tens of thousands of Australians have ignored the calls to stay home to avoid the risk of coronavirus contagion and have taken to the streets to participate in the Back Lives Matter protests for George Floyd.
The demonstrations took place in all the main cities of the country, from Melbourne to Sydney where the day before yesterday a court had declared the protest for health reasons illegal (ruling then canceled by an appeal court a few minutes before the start of the march). The demonstrators wielded placards that read "I can't breathe", "Same story, different terrain". (HANDLE).
