Of Irish and Franco-Spanish origin, Colo Tavernier O'Hagan wrote for film and television and in 1985 won the César for best adaptation for Un dimanche à la campagne .
In 1995, L'Appât , for which she wrote the script, won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Festival.
“Life had separated us but I feel a void and a lack. Colo trained me, pushed me, made me grow. We raised together Nils (Tavernier, actor and director, Editor's note) and Tiffany (novelist and screenwriter herself) that I think of this morning, " said Bertrand Tavernier, president of the Lumière Institute, in the press release.
“I remember a solar personality, full of character and joy, attentive to others and fiercely independent. As a screenwriter, Colo always chose strong stories, put very personal things in them and always got something very universal out of them, " said Thierry Frémaux, director of the Lumière Institute.
