The Milan Court of Assizes sentenced Ousseynou Sy to 24 years in prison, the 47-year-old who in March last year hijacked and burned a bus with a school of 50 kids on board, two teachers and a janitor of Crema, all rescued by the police.
The judges accepted the Prosecutor's request, also that of redeveloping the hypothesis of a crime from kidnapping to kidnapping for terrorist purposes. In court, before the sentencing, Sy said he had had "only the purpose of saving lives, because he could not take any more" of the dead at sea.
