The plague continues to claim victims: Eight people have died in Israel in the last day as a result of the corona virus, the Ministry of Health reported tonight (Friday).
According to the ministry, the death toll rose to 448 from 440 yesterday afternoon, and in the last 24 hours 1,918 people have been infected with the virus.
The Ministry of Health also announced that there are currently 32,230 patients in Corona in Israel - 308 of them in critical condition and 84 respirators. In addition, 31,761 tests were performed yesterday to detect the virus.
According to the data, the highest number of patients this week was found in the city of Bnei Brak, followed by Beitar Illit, Beit Shemesh, Elad and Qalansawa.
Following the spread of the virus, new restrictions on gatherings were introduced tonight. Following the guidelines, malls and shopping centers in the country closed at 5pm, but beaches, and tourist sites such as museums and zoos remained open.
