More than 1000 new cases have been identified in 24 hours while for three consecutive weeks this "increase has intensified", according to Public Health France. Another worrying factor: the new clusters caused by family reunification. France now has 120 clusters under investigation. This is 10 more than the day before and 23 more than eight days ago.
