(ANSA-AFP) - JERUSALEM, JULY 25 - Thousands of demonstrators have gathered again tonight in front of the residence of the first Israeli minister Benyamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem to demand his resignation, accusing him of being corrupt and contesting the management of his government in the fight against the Covid epidemic -19.
During similar protests in recent weeks there were also clashes with the police, who had used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protesters.
"Corrupt, we have had enough of you" and "Where are your values, the values?" you could read about some of the posters posted tonight by the participants in the meeting.
Netanyahu is on trial for corruption, fraud and abuse of power. Protesters also challenge a law passed this week that grants the government special powers until June 2021 to combat coronavirus. (ANSA-AFP).
