The Ministry of Health today (Saturday) updated the data on corona morbidity in Israel, according to which there is a decrease of 8,000 people who have been in home isolation or in hotels. The reason for this seems to be the shortening of the new isolation times. At the same time, this figure is not reflected in the increase in the number of recoveries, which now stands at 26,869.

The data also show that yesterday about 1,769 infections were diagnosed. At the same time, the number of patients hospitalized in critical condition in hospitals rose to 308, of whom 86 were respirators. The death toll stands at 453 people.

Yesterday, about 23,124 tests were performed to detect new infections. The weekly average of finding positive answers is 1,526, and the number of daily tests performed during the week stands at 23,249. It also shows that since the outbreak of the virus in Israel, more than one and a half million tests have been conducted throughout the country.

According to the segmentation of the new infected by age groups, 60% of them are aged 19-64, about 7% are aged 65 and over, 4% are over 80 and 18% are in the age range 0-11. Another statistic is that most of the new respondents (905) came from localities defined as “red”.
