(ANSA) - CARACAS, JULY 25 - A delegation from the government of Norway is traveling to Venezuela "without a fixed agenda" to "know the situation in the country from a political and humanitarian point of view". This was announced by the press office of the opposition leader, who proclaimed himself ad interim president, Juan Guaidó.
Specifying that he decided to provide this information to "maintain transparency, the main banner of our management towards Venezuela", Guaidó showed skepticism about the possibility of making progress in the dialogue with the government of President Nicolas Maduro. In a statement, he stressed that "the mediation process carried out by Norway ended last year, when the dictatorship did not want to celebrate free and fair presidential and parliamentary elections".
The last unsuccessful attempt by Norway to find a path of dialogue between the parties in Venezuelarisale last January. (ANSA).
