The M49 bear escaped again from the Casteller's enclosure

The M49 bear has once again escaped from the enclosure of the Casteller Wildlife Center, south of Trento. The president of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, made it known this morning.

The plantigrade, already the protagonist of a first escape from the same area last year, this time has not climbed over but has torn the iron net of the "cage" in which he had been locked up since last April, Fugatti said. The M49 bear, known nationally by the name of Papillon, is equipped with radio collars, unlike the first time when he fled the fence just after the capture.

The President of the Province, who was part of the discussion on the adjustment of the provincial budget, assured the Council of updates on the topic as work continued in the classroom.
