“They left me for dead. They got a number wrong, with a click. But now I have to wait three months for them to solve it ”, says Carlos María Toral (69) , a retiree who was left without receiving the minimum payment because ANSES gave him up for dead.
Toral, who lives in Realicó, north of La Pampa, retired four years ago. But in July of this year when he went to charge for the ATM, he was met with an unpleasant surprise.

"He told me that the account was blocked by ANSE S. The ticket that the ATM gave me said that they did not pay me for presumed death, " he says.
As his town did not give him answers, he had to travel to the ANSES office, in Ingeniero Luiggi, 60 kilometers away.
At first they gave him a temporary solution. “They paid me with a check in July. And they told me that it would be solved quickly, "Toral told Clarín .
In Luiggi's office they explained how the error had originated: an employee, when charging the death of a woman, put a male. In the case of women, it is the old civic booklet, while in the case of men it is the enrollment booklet: Toral had the misfortune of having the same number as that deceased retiree . And the clerk's mistake when ticking the gender box.
Although he was able to cash the check in July, when he went to claim the August payment, he was told that the final solution would be delayed until October.
“They explained to me that it was because of that. For one click . And that the system is like this. They did not know how to explain, but until October I will not charge more. Later, they told me that I am going to collect everything together ”, he explained.
Toral was a commissioner of the property, a job in the cattle area where Realicó is based. They connect buyers and sellers in the different stages of animal fattening. He has been collecting the minimum retirement for 4 years. He also has other income participating in the production of programs on local television.
"The issue that is outrageous is that by pressing a key wrong, which takes a second, you are lowered from the system and it takes three or four months to reintegrate ," insists the retiree from Pampas.
