98 new deaths from coronavirus confirmed in the last 12 hours

The Ministry of Health confirmed this Wednesday 98 new deaths from coronavirus in relation to the last report, so there are 7,661 fatalities in the country due to the pandemic, which has 359,638 confirmed positive cases.

The deaths reported in the last hours are 59 men; 41 residents in the province of Buenos Aires, 1 in the City, 1 resident in the province of Chaco, 9 in Jujuy, 3 in Río Negro, 3 in the province of Mendoza, and 1 in Tierra del Fuego; and 39 women: 27 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 6 in the City of Buenos Aires, 1 in Río Negro, 4 in Jujuy, and 1 resident in the province of Mendoza.

The fatality rate of the virus is 2.1% and the specific mortality is 167 people per million inhabitants, with a mean age of 72.4 years.

Currently there are 1,990 people with a confirmed diagnosis of coronavirus who require care in intensive care units, and 73.4% in AMBA establishments, 5.9% in Córdoba and 3.6% in Mendoza.

The percentage of occupation of the so-called critical beds, one of the key values ​​that the Government follows to take measures that seek to avoid the collapse of the health system, is 58.3% throughout the country and rises to 66.5% in the metropolitan region of Buenos Aires.

The good news is that 268,801 people who had the virus recovered and were discharged, representing 74% of confirmed cases.
