"Game of Thrones" is far from over for fans and actors. A lead actor understands the anger of fans and almost donated for his death.
It's been over a year since the last episode of "Game of Thrones", but neither fans nor actors can close the series. Many of the decisions that the showrunners made for the last season have been sharply criticized , hardly a fan is satisfied with the last six episodes or the end. And even among some of the actors, the resentment has not yet completely subsided.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau cannot be entirely satisfied either. His character Jaime Lannister had developed from a despised regicide with a penchant for forbidden sibling love to a downright public favorite - an unprecedented rise. In the last season, however, he took a few painful steps back and his death was anything but appropriate, the fans think.

Jamie Lannister dies too unspectacularly
Warning spoilers: If fans had eagerly anticipated his departure from his vengeful sister Cersei and the return to the somewhat clumsy but thoroughly honest Brienne von Tarth and the troops around Jon Schnee and Daenerys, Jamie was treated to a completely different fate. Like a beaten dog he returned to his sister in King's Landing to die with her there - unspectacularly and ingloriously buried under the Red Keep. In an interview with Variety magazine, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau commented on the outcry from fans about the disappointing death of Jaime . When asked if he was surprised that viewers were calling for a "more dramatic death for Jaime", Coster-Waldau said that he almost supported a fan petition to remake the show's finale (and thus his death, too . Red.) Would have donated - mainly because he found the idea "to die for". But when he is asked if he would turn the ending differently, Coster-Waldau rows back: “No, it was okay, it was great. There can only be a new ending, if at all, if the author of the book series, George RR Martin, would finally get through to the two final books in the series .
