The Passau company has now announced this.
Brewery recall: lemonade contaminated by yeast cells
The danger: The
yeast cells
can lead to
unwanted fermentation
inside the bottles
.
Such continued fermentation can cause the internal pressure in the bottle to rise to such an extent that the glass can no longer withstand it.
If the
pressure
rises
too high, the
bottle
glass
can
suddenly burst.
Lemonade fans should now check whether they have bottles of the corresponding batch in the basement or refrigerator.
