(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 12 - Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakisha announced a plan for a "huge" arms purchase and a comprehensive review of Greece's armed forces as tensions with Turkey continue to rise in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Mitsotakis said Greece intends to purchase 18 Rafale fighters, frigates and helicopters.
The plan also includes the recruitment of 15,000 more soldiers and an increased allocation of resources to the defense sector.
