(by the correspondent Mauretta Capuano) (ANSA) - MANTOVA, 12 SEPT - Notebooks with texts, drawings and sketches where moods, reflections, emotions, the outside world seen from the narrow space of a window or balcony document the quarantine .

Fifty-six days forced into the house, in which to rediscover and reconstruct the daily relationships with the spaces and objects of one's home.

Corrado Levi, a multifaceted and heterodox artist, architect and writer, and Ugo La Pietra, artist, designer and architect, who since the 1960s investigated the meaning of living in space, private and public, told them.

They are reflections and stories, words and images, in time of viruses, born separately and become an exhibition: 'Diari da casa' at the Corraini Gallery in Mantua, inaugurated on the occasion of the Literature Festival, which can be visited until October 30th.

A journey that unites two separate testimonies.

Quaderninati spontaneously which are also published by CorrainiEdizioni on the occasion of the exhibition.

They are "News at home" by Corrado Levi and "Storie di virus" by Ugo La Pietra proposed in large format and precious paper.

From 'Il Balcone' to 'Il terrazzino' to 'The truth', in his reflections-stories accompanied by drawings and sketches, LaPietra puts us in front of ourselves and what we have lost and found in his 'Stories of viruses' (euro 16, 00).

"For too long people had lost the habit of staying at home, projected more and more into the city. The best way to be together with others is to get out of the domestic solitude, now more and more fed by etelematic computer tools" writes La Pietra.

For Corrado Levi, creating a text to which a drawing is associated was an almost daily exercise.

"Writing, and only one page a day, is a way of putting stakes in this sense, a way of having fragments of organization," he says of his quarantine.

And so in 'News at home' (€ 16.00) drawings that look like colored scribbles are also the obsessive theme of the written texts.

As if drawing and finding titles for your work frees you from a nightmare.

"Done drawing 'residues', it will be nice to show them below. A graphic diary of the mind in captivity and the hand!"

Levi writes.
